Well, I'm reaching back for an old standby recipe that is slowly picking up momentum again, and that's fondue. If we are living in a time of quick, quick, quick, it doesn't get any easier than this, and guys this can also be a romantic way to have a relaxing evening with the wife. The one I've posted below is a great and versatile one that not only works good with bread, but pretzels, egg rolls, and good old tortilla chips.
Sunday Football Fondue
1 can beer
1/2 lb. shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 lb. shredded Gruyere cheese
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. sweet hot mustard
Pour beer into pan, put on low heat. Heat just to boiling. Add cheeses, flour, spices; melt down. Use French bread cubes to dip.
